Out-reach Projects

Collaboration with Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham

A couple of out-reach projects were carried out with the support of the Art Department at Queen Elizabeth High School (QEH), Hexham. A-level students Adam Thompson and Pippa Armstrong were recommended by the teachers to be the guest artists of my art workshops. They were invited to do an exhibition in the hospital.

A display area in the cafe was allocated for these young talented artists to show their creativity. Exhibitions of East Meets West and The Experiments were thus resulted.

In the summer of 2009, a group of students were invited to produce an installation piece, Tree of Hope, to transform a very narrow waiting area into an interactive narrative space in a brand new chronic disease management centre.
